According to the plot leaks, Chapter 1139 is named The Mountain Eater and only consists of 13 pages. The chapter begins with the reveal of the identity of the mysterious man with the Kasa hat. As the mysterious figure arrived at the Elbaph castle, it was revealed that he was indeed from the Roger Pirates and his name was Scopper Gaban. Additionally, Gaban was referred to as Ya-san in the chapter.
Giants share details of Scopper Gaban with Straw Hats
As the chapter is short, the majority of the focus is on Gaban. The scene then shifts to more details being revealed about the Roger Pirates’ member. These details were being shared by the Giants with the rest of the Straw Hats crew who were staying back in the village. As per the leaks, Gaban is Colon’s father and the husband of Walrus School’s biology teacher, Ripley.
Scopper Gaban’s power rivaled that of Gol D. Roger
Scopper Gaban was the left-hand man of the Pirate King, Gol D Roger during his tenure with the Roger Pirates, as per the Giants. Furthermore, Gaban resided with his wife Ripley in Elbaph Island since their marriage. The spoilers also convey that Gaban’s strength was similar to Roger Pirates’ captain Gol D Roger and his former right-hand man, Silvers Rayleigh.
Scopper Gaban challenges Luffy
The chapter ends with Gaban taking the keys to Loki’s chains from a secret treasure room located in the Elbaph castle. Upon fetching the keys, Gaban comes face-to-face with Luffy, Zoro, and Nami. This leads to the Roger Pirates’ legend throwing a challenge at Luffy to try and reclaim the keys to free Loki.
