Vazana Studio is owned and operated by Priscilla who I had the pleasure of meeting while attending the NY NOW show in NYC. Her pieces really spoke to me, as she touches upon many aspects I love using gemstones and intricate details. First off, her opal pendants were bold and intergalactic – it felt as though she plucked them from outer space and set them in a way that really reflects the stone’s beauty. I love her delicate ring designs – they’re all incredibly stackable and wearable. The texture on them is such a great addition. How long have you been in the jewelry industry:
I studied womenswear, fashion before turning to jewelry where I apprenticed with a semi-retired high jewelry craftsman. I started working towards my own collections around 5 years ago.
Zodiac sign: Scorpio
Favorite gemstone: 😱 This is an impossible question to answer! It really depends on my mood. Australian opals when I want to feel empowered, colourful sapphires for daily wear, red and pink spinels or rubies when I need a little fire and femininity, and green and blue gems in between occasions.
Favorite piece in your collection: Interstellar Ring💫, if I had to choose. I actually made several variations, but some are not released yet.
