Why does Steve visit Kayla in Days of Our Lives?
In Days of Our Lives, Steve visits Kayla to learn more about the experimental drug that Dr. Russell developed.
Ahead of their conversation, Dr. Russell stops by Kayla’s office. He reveals that he is not here to speak about Bo’s use of his drugs, but wants to inform that he is leaving. However, Kayla is hesitant to let him go. He accuses her that she is seeking revenge on him for not letting her use his drug and therefore, is not letting him leave. Although Kayla denies the claims, Dr. Russell walks out eventually.
Shortly after, Steve enters Kayla’s office. She informs him about Dr. Russell’s plan to pitch the drug to a major pharmaceutical company. Steve quickly asks Kayla if he can review Dr. Russell’s drug research. However, Kayla becomes cautious and questions him about his true intentions. Steve clarifies that he wants to learn more about the research related to the drug.
He asks Kayla to step outside for a while while he reviews the research. Kayla responds that she feels helpless and apologizes for her behavior. She tells him that she needs to cut their conversation short because she has to attend a staff meeting. Steve then offers to bring something from the cafeteria and tells her that he will leave it on the desk if she isn’t back by then.
