Netflix’s Last Bullet is now out, and it features an explosive ending, bringing to an end the anticipation surrounding the epic showdown between Lino and Areski. As such, fans have been asking many questions about the climax and ending, and many are curious about the fate of Yuri and Resz. Guillaume Pierret, who helmed the first two films, reprised his role as writer and director for the third installment.
So, does Resz die? What happens to Yuri? Here are all the spoilers from Last Bullet’s ending.
Why does Yuri kill Resz in Netflix’s Last Bullet?
Yuri kills Resz in Netflix‘s Last Bullet’s ending because the latter betrays the former.
Initially, Yuri is one of Resz’s most loyal henchmen. However, their relationship begins suffering after Resz coldly dismisses Yuri’s information and worries about Areski escaping the assassination attempt on him in Germany, simply telling the latter he is exaggerating.
However, Resz eventually admits he is wrong, albeit reluctantly, and apologizes to Yuri, which the latter accepts. Unfortunately, Resz develops unfounded concerns about Yuri possibly hating him from then on. These concerns stem from Resz’s past experience with Areski.
Prompted by his fear that Yuri might become the next Areski, Resz orders his assassination.
However, Yuri survives the attempt on his life and kills his attempted killers, unbeknownst to Resz. He then tracks down Resz to the airstrip, where the latter has rounded up Julia and Lino and where they are supposed to meet their German contacts.
Yuri then kills Resz in vengeance for the latter’s betrayal in the ending of Last Bullet. His actions end up saving Julia and Lino, who were in a desperate situation following Moss’ betrayal of the latter two after joining Resz.
After killing Resz, Yuri tracks down the latter’s most trusted advisor, Cole, at the headquarters. Noticing Cole desperately trying to get his hands on the money in the safe, before making his exit, Yuri shows up and kills him.
Yuri then takes the money Cole was trying to escape with and makes his getaway.
Thus, Yuri successfully achieved his vendetta against Resz and claimed a nice reward in Last Bullet’s ending.
