In the vintage and collectibles space, resellers play an essential role. They have to know both sides of an equation: an accurate idea of an item’s worth and its selling price in current market conditions. Sellers also have to understand shipping costs, storage, and inventory management. That’s why an event like the BOSS Reseller Remix, held yearly in Las Vegas, is such a good opportunity.
Community is crucial in the realm of selling vintage and collectibles, and at BOSS, it was evident how willing sellers are to engage with each other and offer tips, tricks, and best practices to other sellers. There were also many opportunities to learn new information from vendors and others. Every year, there are new trends and patterns, and staying updated on the industry is one of the event’s goals.
A team from WorthPoint, including CEO Will Seipell, CTO Antoine Lyseight, and Senior Revenue Manager Nathan Teasdale, attended the event to see first-hand what our users and others engaged in vintage and collectible sales are talking about, looking for, and accomplishing in their businesses.

To say the event was a learning experience is an understatement. Attendees at BOSS stopped into the WorthPoint-sponsored lounge to talk about so much. From sourcing items in bulk to diversifying the type and amount of auction platforms sellers use, there was so much information to take in and use. Among the many other trends and happenings discussed, sellers are listing items on multiple platforms and casting a wider net. Bulk sellers are starting to use Walmart’s new marketplace more as their inventories grow, and we will be watching that trend.
