Oskar Schindler, played by Liam Neeson, is a German businessman who starts off just wanting to make money. However, he ended up saving more than a thousand Jewish people during the Holocaust.
The entire movie was heavy to watch because it’s based on a true story, so I couldn’t imagine the real people who experienced that. There’s this one scene toward the end (if you’ve seen it, you know what I’m talking about) that just broke me. It’s a tough movie to watch, but it’s so worth it. And Neeson’s performance was really incredible.

Bryan Mills is a retired CIA agent whose daughter gets kidnapped while on a trip to Paris. And let’s just say, the kidnappers messed with the wrong dad.
3. The Commuter
You’re on your usual train ride home, minding your own biz, when a stranger offers you a deal that sounds way too sketchy to be true. Would you engage or not? The smart decision would be to ignore and decline. But with Liam Neeson’s character in The Commuter, things don’t go that way. Michael (Neeson) is an ex-cop turned insurance salesman who got too deep in a conspiracy. Now, he needs to survive while figuring out who’s behind all this. It’s got that same Taken energy if you’re after that.
The Commuter is a 2018 movie, so it shouldn’t be hard to find platforms that have it. It’s usually on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and others. You might also find it on DISH TV packages and other traditional TV services.
4. Les Misérables
This one’s a bit different from the typical Liam Neeson movies we usually watch, but it’s just as good. He plays Jean Valjean who’s a former prisoner trying to turn his life around after serving 19 years for stealing bread. As we know, life isn’t that simple. Javert is an officer who’s seriously committed to hunting him down. I loved Liam Neeson in this film because he brought so much heart to Valjean. He’s tough when he needs to be but he’s also deeply compassionate.
