The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will host its next Crypto Task Force roundtable on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The roundtable will be conducted in person with a live webcast available to virtual participants. In-person attendees are required to register, while the virtual broadcast is open to the public on a non-registration basis.
SEC Crypto Roundtable Agenda & Key Speakers
The agenda opens with opening comments from 1:00 PM to 1:20 p.m., and then a 100-minute roundtable discussion led by Nick Losurdo, partner at Goodwin Procter LLP. The session will include contributions from a wide range of experts who are deeply engaged in crypto, market structure, trading, and legal regulation.
Included in the participants is Christine Parlour, who chairs UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business’s Finance and Accounting department. She is a researcher focused on decentralized finance and payment systems. On board with her is Austin Reid, FalconX Global Head of Revenue and Business, who played a key role in scaling up the company’s trading business and extending its geographic presence.
Joining the panel as well is Richard Johnson, founder and CEO of Texture Capital, a broker-dealer with a specialty in digital securities and tokenization. Katherine Minarik, Chief Legal Officer at Uniswap Labs, has experience having worked at Coinbase previously and an extensive background in litigation affecting the digital asset sector.
Vice President of Institutional Product at Coinbase, Greg Tusar, will also be featured. Tusar came to Coinbase after the purchase of Tagomi Systems and worked in senior roles at KCG Holdings and Goldman Sachs. Tyler Gellasch, President and CEO of Healthy Markets Association and former U.S. Senate staff member and SEC staffer, will join him.
Dave Lauer, co-founder of Urvin Finance and activist group We The Investors, contributes knowledge in electronic trading and investor advocacy. He is accompanied by Chelsea Pizzola, Associate General Counsel for Cumberland, a DRW affiliate who previously worked at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Completing the panel is Jon Herrick, Chief Product Officer of the New York Stock Exchange, who oversees strategy and innovation for the exchange’s trading and data businesses.

Following the roundtable, there will be a 30-minute break from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., according to the SEC’s release. The session will then continue with a segment called “Regulatory Direction,” until 5:00 p.m. Participants will be in a position to give written questions and comments on cards available in the lobby of the venue.
