Natasha Lyonne recently addressed the surprising connection between The Bad Guys 2 and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. In a new interview, she reacted to playing characters named Doom in both films and hinted at her mysterious MCU role, Rachel Rozman.

Natasha Lyonne voices a character named Doom in The Bad Guys 2, a new antagonist introduced as part of the crew known as the Bad Girls. When asked by ComicBook‘s Chris Killian if she realized she was playing someone named Doom before joining The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Lyonne responded, “Hadn’t occurred to me until this moment,” adding, “Life is a series of coincidences coming at me, and I just do my best.”
In The Bad Guys 2, Doom, a raven with a talent for deception, joins Kitty Kat (voiced by Danielle Brooks) and Pigtail (voiced by Maria Bakalova) as the new antagonists. The Bad Girls pull the reformed Bad Guys into a globe-trotting heist. The film hits theaters on August 1, 2025.
Lyonne plays Rachel Rozman in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, a new character created for the MCU. Rozman works as a teacher and befriends Ben Grimm (The Thing). Despite speculation, she is not Alicia Masters. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Lyonne said, “I’m very moved that they want me to be in that movie. It is all very interstellar-type stuff, coming at it from different directions.”
She added, “I’m also in the Smurfs movie, and actually some stuff does happen that’s… I don’t want to get into it, because I’ll get in trouble. But assuming that I’m dead by 8:45 p.m. tonight and they have to cut the movies together in a mash-up, it will all marry well, I think.”
Lyonne’s comments have led to speculation that she may be voicing a CG character such as H.E.R.B.I.E., though Marvel has not confirmed her exact role.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, 2025.
