The Life List has finally premiered on Netflix, bringing viewers into the world of Alex, a young woman who goes on an odyssey to fulfill abandoned childhood dreams, following her mother’s demise. In her journey, Alex ends up meeting two men, Brad and Garrett, both of whom serve as potential romantic suitors for her. Fans are wondering who Alex chooses to be with at the end.

In the film, Brad serves as Alex’s lawyer and is the one who kicks off the events of the main story. He tells Alex about the latter’s mother, Elizabeth, leaving behind a note and a DVD. Alex, who views the DVD, is then spurred on her quest to complete her childhood aspirations, all of which were jotted down on a list. After Alex ticks off each thing in the list, Brad hands her self-recorded videos of her mother.
However, Alex and Brad initially do not seem to have any feelings for each other. Alex is instead mutually attracted to Garrett, a man she meets on a subway and later at her workplace.
Unfortunately, significant troubles brew when they embark on a relationship. Alex and Garrett find out they have different financial conditions and the latter is unable to get along with the former’s friends. Moreover, Garrett also gets irritated by minor things like Alex’s broken armchair. This causes a heavy strain in their relationship.
Garrett, however, tries to mend his relationship with Alex but she rejects him. Alex notes that she cannot change her life for Garrett. Alex and Brad continue to spend time together. The latter’s girlfriend, Nina, notices that the former two share a spark, resulting in Brad and Nina breaking up.
Brad eventually admits his love for Alex, but she takes time to process it. However, they ultimately make love one night after Alex meets her biological father Johnny. Despite this, Alex pushes Brad away.
But after she sees a video of her mother talking about holding on to people one loves, she realizes Brad is the perfect man for her. Alex eventually confesses her feelings for Brad, much to the latter’s elation.
