Belle-A Walker was eliminated from Love Island USA Season 7 during the June 8 episode after the first recoupling ceremony. Nicolas Vansteenberghe had the final pick and chose to couple up with newcomer Cierra Ortega, leaving Belle-A single and dumped from the villa.
This was the season’s first official elimination, following Yulissa Escobar’s earlier removal for racially insensitive comments. Hours before the recoupling, Nic admitted he was “50/50” between Belle-A and Cierra. He ultimately chose Cierra after sharing time with both, including a Hideaway session.
Belle-A and Nic had initially coupled up during the first episode and shared a slower-paced connection. Despite expressing boundaries and a desire to take things gradually, Belle-A remained open to getting to know Nic. He, however, pursued a faster physical and emotional bond with Cierra after her arrival.
The recoupling gave all male Islanders the power to choose their partners. As Nic chose Cierra, Belle-A became the last remaining single contestant and was immediately eliminated. Belle-A exited the villa with composure, telling Nic, “It’s not my loss.”
