Initially, Stefani believes Erik is next in line after their uncle Howard dies in a brutal lawnmower accident. But when Erik miraculously survives a tattoo parlor fire, he grows reckless, dismissing Stefani’s warnings. His confidence shatters when Julia, Howard’s biological daughter, dies in a freak garbage truck accident.
